Home repair in Montgomery County, MD
Montgomery County has the widest spread of housing in the DMV, from Takoma Park bungalows and Bethesda colonials to Germantown townhomes and Rockville high rise condos. Each one has its own repair list, and the condo buildings add a front desk, a certificate of insurance request and a window for when work can make noise.
Or call or text (240) 858-0149. Hours 8 to 6, Monday through Saturday.
Condos, co-ops and county rules
The county has its own home improvement rules on top of the state license, and homeowners here ask about licensing more than anywhere else we work. Every job goes to a contractor licensed with MHIC, and the license number is on the estimate before you pay a deposit.
In Bethesda and Silver Spring condos, the building rules decide the day as much as the job does. Many allow work only between 9 and 5 on weekdays and want a certificate of insurance on file 48 hours ahead. Tell us the building when you book and we handle the paperwork before the visit, not on the morning of.

Montgomery County questions
- Do you need a Montgomery County license as well as MHIC?
- The contractor doing your work holds the MHIC license Maryland requires, and that is the license the county checks for home improvement work. The number is printed on your estimate.
- Can you work in a high rise condo in Rockville or Bethesda?
- Yes. We need the building name and management contact when you book so the certificate of insurance and the work window are set before the crew arrives.
- Do you do small jobs, or only big ones?
- Small jobs are most of what we do. A single door, a drywall patch, a towel bar that pulled out of the wall. Group two or three together and the visit minimum covers more.
